Augusta Acquah was a participant in the Africa Canada Eco-Leadership Program in 2005-2006 (Kelowna, B.C. and Cape Town, South Africa). She was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa and has been living with her family in Edmonton, Alberta for the past nine years. Augusta graduated from the University of Alberta in 2003 with a degree in Political Science. Currently, she is completing a second degree in Women's Studies at Concordia University in Montreal.
Augusta enjoys volunteering with community organizations. This school year, she is on Frontier College's (Concordia chapter) Organization Team. Frontier College is a Canada wide organization that promotes literacy.
Augusta finds that CWY impacts her every day: from her volunteer activism to applying inter-cultural understanding in her interactions! She is proud to be a part of this life-changing experience!
